At Southside Sports Nutrition, our primary purpose is to provide a comprehensive nutrition consulting service to athletes and teams. We strive to maximize athletic performance by improving athletes’ body compositions through educating athletes on benefits of optimal nutrition and how to achieve it. With a customized nutrition plan, this enable athletes to recover optimally from training and competition, and creates a trend of continuous improvement over time.

Southside Sports Nutrition ​provides individualized macronutrient plans based on body compositions, body composition goals, and physical activity level. This is achieved in conjunction with a nutrient tracking mobile app that includes reminders at meal times, recipe suggestions, grocery list suggestions, barcode scanner for easy and accurate reporting, 24/7 communication with a LifeBase certified nutrition coach, body composition tracking, and educational videos.

We educate athletes on important aspects of nutrition and how they relate to performance, including the role each macronutrient plays in performance and health, the importance of nutrient timing, what foods are useful in helping reach goals, and safe supplement use when applicable.

Our program includes checking in with athletes on a weekly basis via Zoom or FaceTime to discuss InBody scans to monitor progress and compare to nutrition reports, food choices reported in the app and how to improve, and plans to make any necessary changes to the nutrition plan for optimal results.

Our team sends ​​weekly team reports to coaching staff. These reports include in-depth breakdown of team body composition changes and individual compliance scores, Suggestions based on inflammation readings and body composition changes, and highlights of those doing the program well and those who need encouraged to improve. We also send monthly reports to parents that include the athlete's body composition changes to date, meal suggestions and recipe/grocery lists, as well as weekly compliance scores for their athlete.

SSN also hosts weekly meetings with designated coaches to discuss progress, issues and planning for game/practice schedules, and game travel nutritional support. This support includes suggestions on basic nutrition necessities to bring along, meal recommendations for stops along the way and during the stay, as well as planning for timing of meals around game schedules.

*For ages 12 and under we provide weekly nutrition lessons which include a 30-45 minute presentation/discussion on a specific aspect of nutrition and an opportunity to ask/answer questions and discuss what effects nutrition has on our body. We also include access to nutrition coaching, where parents and athletes will have contact information for nutrition coach if they have specific or private questions. Access to InBody scanning is provided if interested, this includes use  of InBody scanner if they choose to do so, and ahletes can consult with nutrition coach about InBody scan data.
